Not good for removing makeup

Although I love the gentle properties of this cleanser and am delighted that the redness in my face has reduced, I am disappointed that this cleanser does not do a very good job of removing the makeup from my face (as the description claims... "gently remove make-up"). When I follow up with the toner, much of the makeup shows up on the cotton pad.
