Excellent product, better then conventional brands, June, 29/2000 This mascara is excellent. I have sensitive eyes and this does not sting at all. There are no clumps and you can really see the definition of the lashes. It comes with a little mirror on the side, which is really neat, and something you don't see on other brands. I love how easily it washes off. I recommend it highly and am going back for more.
So light it feels like I'm not wearing mascara!, March, 17/2000 This is the best mascara I have ever used. No more stinging eyes from chemical/tar mascara! I am happy to find a natural substitute. Easy to apply, light coating to lashes, doesn't smudge, and washes off at the end of the day. Absolutely wonderful!!
Ecco Bella Natural Mascara, October, 01/2003 My eyes are very sensitive to eye makeup products. I really like this mascara. It does not make my eyes burn or water. The only thing I do not like about it is the brush. The type of brush that they use does not help to thicken or lenghten the eye lashes. For those of us with short, blonde lashes, this is not very appealing.
i love this mascara., November, 30/2003 i love this mascara. i don't have allergies or sensitivities, i just don't like putting products that are full of chemicals i can't pronounce on my body, especially my eyes
the best mascara, December, 24/2003 I love this mascara, it doesn't irritate my eyes, and my lashes look longer and fuller. The best part is lasts all day, but is easy to remove with soap and water.
One Great Mascara, December, 16/2004 This is the best mascara I've ever used. It doesn't look like mascara...just dark silky lashes. It lasts all day, doesn't irritate my eyes and best of all washes off without the use of a special eye makeup remover.
Can't belive it's natural, December, 27/2004 I was skeptical that a natural mascara could hold up as well as any other off-the-shelf mascara, but this one does. The only thing I don't like about this mascara is that it does not come off with just soap and water. It leaves black smudges around my eyes that have to then be cleaned with a makeup remover. But what's surprising is that crying seems to remove the mascara better than the soap and water.
Pretty, But Not Practical, April, 29/2006 Reviewed by Benia
I tried this mascara in my quest to use more natural products. It goes on nice and black, but can be a bit sticky if you don't use the brush carefully and try to keep your lashes separated. I also noticed that this formula, for whatever reason, tends to take a long time to dry or set. In the meantime, any vivid facial expressions (hard blinking or extreme surprise-eyes) should be avoided to keep the stuff off the areas around the eyes. I usually only apply in the mornings, so I've adopted drying my hair AND EYELASHES at the same time to speed things up. I was disappointed that this mascara doesn't come in a waterproof formula, but that would probably require some unnatural ingredients. I use makeup remover cloths at night and notice this mascara seems to take some extra effort to remove, but only because it has so much vivid pigment in it. It's a tradeoff of the nice, bright color. In summary, it looks nice if applied carefully, but requires some extra care to keep it looking nice.
