Unpleasant odor is caused by skin bacteria when we sweat -- so how can you eliminate this odor naturally?
- Inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria. The antimicrobial action of the botanical ingredient hops inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria.
- Block odor with natural fragrance. The gentle fragrance of woodspice helps to mask odor.
Improved odor protection with hops. Tom's of Maine created the first natural deodorant in 1976. Since then, we've continued to pursue innovative new plant and mineral ingredients that deliver improved odor protection. We're excited to tell you about our latest breakthrough in this new formula -- hops (Humulus lupulus). Our research has shown that the active ingredients in hops significantly inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria. Using hops also allows us to balance the overall formula for improved effectiveness while reducing the possibility of skin irritation.
