Adults:

* When practical, cleanse the affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly.  Gently dry by patting or blotting with a tissue or a soft cloth before applying this cream. * Puncture tube seal with end of cap. * Intrarectal use:  remove cover from applicator well, then gently insert applicator into the rectum. * Apply entire tube content in one single application.  Leave cream in place and avoid cleaning and defecation for 12 hours. * Also apply cream externally.

Children under 12 years of age:  ask a doctor.

* bleeding occurs * introduction of applicator into the rectum causes additional pain * condition worsens and does not improve within 7 days
