Because these hardworking farmers receive a far price for their efforts, they are able to take care of themselves, their families and their land, ensuring high quality coffee far into the future. Most of our Fair Trade coffees are fed only by rain, sun and natural compost, unadulterated by chemicals and excessive processing. They are almost always shade-grown to protect wildlife habitat and preserve the fragile mountainous places where they are born. What ends up in your cup is simply pure, fresh and fabulous coffee. Certified organically grown and processed in accordance with the California Organic Foods Act of 1990 by Quality Assurance International. Coffee of this certification are grown traditionally, under canopies of shade and in the absence of synthetic chemical fertilizer, pesticides and herbicides.
Grind just enough for each brewing. For automatic drip, a medium grind is best; for French press, grind coarse; espresso should be ground fine. Brew with clean, cold water. For auto-drip, start with 1 heaping tbsp. Per 6 oz. Of water and adjust to your taste. Store in an airtight container away from heat and direct sun.
