After finding out my weight loss was due in part to being hypothyroid (low thyroid), and reading a book called, "Natural Enzyme Therapy", in which they discussed the benefits of Coconut oil to stimulate the thyroid. Farmers discovered that when they fed coconut oil to their cattle, it made them lose weight, and gain muscle mass and energy. My skin is clearer and smoother. I have more enegy. I have lost 60 pounds in six months. I do all sauteing and cooking with coconut oil now. Because it is a neutral taste, I prefer it to Olive oil, or any other oil. It also does very well in stir-frying or any kind of cooking.
