so-so soap and hard to use

I'm used to rounded-edge soaps so this rectangular one with its sharp edges took some getting used to. It was just harder to grip and lather. Surprisingly, it is also not moisturizing, given that it's made of olive oil. Instead, it leaves my skin feeling "squeaky clean." For me, this is definitely not a soap for winter use, when the skin needs a lot more moisturizing.

Perfect for Sensitive Allergic Skin

I have very sensitive allergic skin, especially on my eyelids, and have tried many soaps. A Kiss My Face Olive Oil soap is labeled as not having any perfumes or dyes, but it is deep green and smells perfumey. (Even natural oils like peppermint and lavendar can cause allergic reactions in sensitive skin.) It left my skin dry and irritated. This Aptera Olive Oil soap smells and looks like there is nothing in it but olive oil and minerals, which is just what allergic skin needs. It is the first soap that I can wash my eyelids with. The soaps most dermatologists recommend are made from animal tallow. One look inside a rendering plant, and you would recoil in horror at the thought of putting that on your sensitive skin!

I use this soap as my shampoo, and it seems to bring out highlights and rinses cleanly. I alos used it to wash dishes one day when I ran out of detergent and found that it removes grease better than anything I've ever seen..while leaving hands soft! Did clear up my skin, but I found it a bitt oo harsh my face, which is extra sensitive.
