Description: Encapsulated Fennel seed carefully screened to assure potency, purity and quality. Fennel seed is historically used to aid digestion and sweeten the breath. It is used in many European cough remedies because of its reputation for loosening phlegm. Fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare) is a carmative herb that may be used for colic, gas, indigestion, intestinal disorders, assimilation, nausea, flatulence, lactation boosting, morning sickness, sedative, gout and weight loss.
Ingredients: Fennel seed (480mg). Other ingredients: gelatin.
Additional Ingredients: Gelatin (capsule)
Dosage: As an addition to the daily diet, take one capsule two or more three times daily with water at mealtimes.
Product Research: Fennel is perhaps the safest of all carminative herbs and can be used frequently even by children and the elderly without harmful or unpleasant side effects. Excellent for infants when given as a diluted tea. A perennial Chinese herb of the carrot family. Fennel's aromatic seeds are cultivated for both culinary and herbal uses. The seeds have a licorice-like taste and are offered at the end of a meal in Asia and in South America to sweeten the breath and aid digestion. A tremendous natural aid for intestinal discomfort

Two years ago I had a surgical procedure, laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication, to alleviate increasingly painful reflux (GERD). After the immediate success of the surgery, I began to suffer from drastically elevated levels of intestinal gas. Over-the-counter gas remedies were not helpful, and I knew that I could not take these as a daily medication. After some internet research I was led to fennel as an ancient herbal digestive aid. I don't like the flavor of fennel, so I was leery of trying fennel seeds. When I discovered the fennel capsules, I was thrilled. I take three doses per day and the product is wonderfully effective for my discomfort.
