Description

This organic coffee produces a wonderfully prepared, and beautifully textured cup. Mouth feel is a wine term, but it can also be used to describe the silky tanginess of this bright and even cup. It is grown on the Pacific slopes of the Sierra Nevada near Panama"s border. It is one of the few organic and shade coffee projects in Costa Rica today.

About Organic Coffee: Organic coffee, simply put, is coffee grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. The farms are required to switch to organic production for three years prior to receiving organic certification. The coffee is certified organic by Quality Assurance International. Great organic coffee requires a shade canopy to prevent the sun from bleaching nutrients from the soil. Shade is of concern to many consumers as it provides bird habitat. We see birds as one of many issues surrounding all agricultural production. Organic coffee production prevents chemicals from going into water tables, it increases biodiversity (from birds to bugs-the whole ecosystem), and it provides more and greater opportunity to the farmers. MotherNature.com's coffee allows you to enjoy all the good things about organic, and do so while enjoying a superb cup of coffee.

Tips on Brewing Great Coffee:

Use good water - filtered or spring.
Use two (2) tablespoons ground coffee per six (6) oz. cup. Adjust to taste.
Serve fresh.
Reseal bag by tying down ties and expelling gas through valve.

Best coffee I have ever had!

This coffee is simply the best! I too, have belonged to Gavalia Coffee Club, bought $30.00/lb. Blue Mountain coffee, traveled in Europe, etc, and nothing compares to MotherNature.com's Costa Rican coffee. My husband can actually wake me up by brewing this coffee in the house. What a smell! And even better, it tastes like more! And more! Try it and see for yourself.

Best I've found

I fell in love with coffee as a student in Costa Rica on a field project, and have tried every Costa Rican blend I've come across in the years since I returned to the U.S. This is the best of them all. When I close my eyes and take a sip, I imagine I can hear howler monkeys in the distance...

The best coffee I have found

I discovered this coffee by accident, because I simply wanted to push my order from $46 to over $50 for the free shipping. What a pleasant suprise! I belonged to the Gevalia Coffee Club until I had my first cup of this Costa Rican. I immediately called and quit Gevalia. I am not a "tree hugger"--I am simply a coffee nut who is willing to pay for quality. It was ironic that this coffee costs much less than what I had been paying.

I have ordered this coffee several times and each time am delighted with the full flavor and aroma! Compliments received on this coffee have been many! Highly recommended.

Excellent!!!

What can I say? I am truly a coffee junky/snob, and I am in love with this coffee. I originally bought it for my husband, but after one pot I was ready to put up a good fight for the rest of the bag!! I like my coffee strong (think just this side of jet fuel) and this coffee does strong well, it isn't bitter, and even when I don't make it as strong it is still just as tasty, and wonderful.

I received this as a gift and had to find mothernature.com to buy more. Open Bag....Insert Nose....Inhale Deeply. Aromatherapy at its best. Open Grinder...Insert Beans...Grind Quickly. Utopia is near. Open Filter...Insert Coffee...Brew Slowly. Liquid perfection. Open Mouth....Drink Deeply...AAAAHHHH.

delicious, full bodied

I am a coffeeholic and this is by far the best fullbodied, full of real coffee flavor, coffee that I have ever tasted.

Great coffee - good aroma, holds up to cream

Even in the whole bean state this coffee has a full, anticipatory aroma. When ground, that aroma becomes more intense, and when brewed, calls out to coffee-lovers all around. Adding cream and sugar does not dilute the flavor, either. It is a great coffee with a wonderful aroma and good flavor.

The best gourmet coffee I've tasted in ages!

I have tried many brands of gourmet coffees, including Gevalia, and this is the best by far. The fact that it is organic is icing on the cake! It has a deep, rich flavor and tastes as wonderful as it smells! I intend to cancel my other coffee subscription and purchase only this in the future. Thank you for providing such an excellent product.
