Menstrual Pads! Sure. A reusable pad is a different idea you might even think it's gross. We thought so too at first. Then we tried them and we've never gone back. Safe. Simple. Smart. Good for you, good for the environment no plastics, no perfumes, no over-packaging.
Take time to reflect on your views and how they were formed. Think positively about your body and your period! We?re women and we menstruate. Let?s use it as a time to enjoy who we are and reflect on the power we have as women.
Each GladRags Cotton Menstrual Pad consists of 1 holder and 2 liners. This versatile 3-part design serves several purposes:1 ) All together the layers make a thick, absorbent pad which then separates for thorough washing and quick drying.2) The insertable liners allow you to customize the pad for your flow.Use one liner and it"s a mini pad, use two and it"s a maxi, and the holder alone works as panty liner. If you have an especially heavy flow you can order an extra liner and use 3 (however, the pads are so absorbent we actually sell more extra holders because many women find they only need one liner much of the time.)

For years I suffered from skin irritations from disposable pads/tampons. Not only that, but I had bad (and I mean BAD) cramps and nausea every month. I bought GladRags a few years ago and would never go back! Here's why: They're extremely comfy, natural, and breathatble. You never run out. They don't fill up landfills. And, believe it or not, they have helped me to become more at peace with my cycle, and with that, my periods have become much more comfortable. (We're talking 2 or 3 hours of light cramping vs. 2 days of immobility and excruciating pain). If you're wondering how many to get, I would recommend 12 day pads and 3 or 4 night pads. That takes care of me just fine. I wash my pads by hand using Dr. Bronner's liquid soap. They also wash up well in the washing machine.
