Product Research
There is some confusion as to the proper spelling of hiziki. You may find it spelled 'hiziki' in some recipes and 'hijiki' in others. That is because the Japanese name is spelled "hijiki", and the botanical name is "hizikia fusiforme", hence the name "hiziki".
Rolled around rice (cucumber, avocado, crab optional) with a little soy sauce and you can't have a better snack or meal. Loved it.
the seaweed gives this an odd taste
i couldn't figure out why it had a unsettling aftertaste, but when reading the ingredients, i noted seaweed. i couldn't finish the remaining 9 oz. after eating 1 oz. This was in stark contrast to another woodstock farm item (peas with mustard seasoning) which were GREAT.
