| Welcome to Adam's Organic Coffees website. We are committed to bringing you the highest quality of 100% CERTIFIED organic coffees in the known universe. All coffees are sent in mylar bags with one way flow valves to ensure freshness. Our coffees will last up to 4 months in these unopened bags. Adam's Organic Coffees is based in Oakland, California, just outside of San Francisco. We hope that the information you find here is helpful as well as educational. The Organic Coffee Association (ORCA) was established this past summer by myself, John Cossette of Royal Coffee and Mark Inman of Taylor Maid Coffee. Our Goal (to quote from the mission statement) is, "to promote and educate the customer and the coffee industry on the value of organic farming practices, and how they benefit the farmer, the environment as well as the consumer to create a wholesome value added product." Given the latest coffee "greenwash" marketing blitz using the terms Sustainable, Bird-friendly and Shade-grown, we felt it necessary to clarify these issues and how they relate to certified organic coffees. Our current projects include documenting the Dirty Dozen petrochemicals used in coffee cultivation. Look for details in upcoming Oracle newsletters on the planned ORCA conference and camp out this summer among the redwoods in Northern California. | |
